Since Germantown Tool & Manufacturing’s days as a small tool and die shop in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, we have never hesitated to invest in new or different equipment, or to add capabilities in order to bring more value to our customers.
These additions began with metal stamping presses to provide production-stamped metal parts, and over the next 30 years Germantown Tool continued to respond to customers’ requirements. This included purchasing one of the first laser cutters in the area, as well as metal press brakes and a shear for sheet metal fabrication.
As customers continued looking to their suppliers to assume more of the manufacturing responsibility, Germantown Tool responded by creating an assembly department. Here the company produces simple assemblies and complete products, which can be boxed and shipped directly to customers’ warehouses.
Germantown was also a pioneer in robotic welding, earning a reputation as one of the finest robotic welding assembly suppliers in the Mid-Atlantic region. The company currently operates a total of seven robotic welding cells.
